Following the ongoing delay of unpaid civil servant salaries in Osun State amid the N35 billion bailout dished by the federal government to the state, Mr. Jimi Disu, a social analyst had accused Gov. Rauf Aregbesola of lacking proper managerial skills in moving the state of Osun forward.
He stated this recently in a programme analysing the ordeal of civil servants in the state. His words:”It is unimaginable that after being granted bailout basically for unpaid salaries he requested for, he still had to delay payment, heaven knows till when! He simply lacks the proper managerial skill to move Osun state forward”, Disu affirmed.
He however urged the governor, to speedily facilitate payment due to opposition party accusing the governor of depositing state fund in a commercial bank to yield interest. “That was why, Diran Odeyemi, spokesperson for the PDP in Osun State, made an accusation recently, alleging that the state received the fund about two weeks but the governor decided to lodge it in a fixed deposit account in order to attract interest from it”, he lamented
