Gunmen Attack Military Sites In Burundi
Military sites were attacked in Burundi’s capital during a night of heavy gunfire and explosions, an official and soldiers said on Friday, December 11, 2015.
Presidential media adviser Willy Niyamitwe in a statement said that opponents attacked military camps as part of “a diversion” to free prisoners but said the raids “failed”.
Two soldiers, who asked not to be named, told newsmen that the attacks targeted three military sites.
