It was reported earlier today, Thursday, October 13, that the deadly Boko Haram terror group had released 21 of the over 200 kidnapped school girls.
According to the spokesperson to President Muhammadu Buhari, Garba Shehu, the 21 of the missing Chibok Girls were released and are in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS).
The presidency said the girls release was facilitated by a collaboration between the International red cross, the Swiss government and the Nigerian government.
The leader of the BBOG group via her twitter handle thanked the president as she expressed joy over the release of the Chibok girls.
